15 Years of Storytelling

I've spent much of my life enthralled with storytelling, and I've been fortunate to turn that interest into a career. From my early years as a newspaper and television journalist to my time as a content agency owner, I've researched, curated, and developed content that engages audiences to take action. My specialty? Video storytelling around entrepreneurship, personal finance, and/or empowerment of underserved communities.

I've proudly developed and implemented content strategies for more than 35 clients, and in 2018, earned a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. Learn more about me.

Goal: Showcase the success stories of people and companies who have grown their businesses or improved their financial situations after receiving a micro loan from the Community Development Financial Institution. The success stories series was featured on the Economic Justice Fund's website. The process included researching each success story, conducting a virtual interview, determining the success story format, and writing the final product. Read select stories below.

Goal: Produce engaging 500 word write-ups profiling the winners of the media company's Most Innovative Companies Awards. The process included reviewing each winner's application, conducting a virtual interview to identify notable points for the profile, and writing the final product. The profiles reside on FastCo Work's website.
